OLYMPICS ARE HERE!

We stayed up until 1am this morning watching the opening ceremony.
Must admit l was very impressed, l loved most of it.
The beginning was so inspired but l lost interest once it got to the 90’s although l loved Dizzee Rascal, it made me want to go clubbing for about 2 minutes when l remembered how busy clubs get. I don’t want to go anywhere there are other people nowadays.

MrK and k had planned to take full advantage of Girl20 being here to go out for an hour together, alone tonight.
After the late night last night we couldn’t be bothered. I then admitted that rather than going to a pub for a couple of drinks l’d much rather go out for a coffee and cake. Gosh, l’m getting old. We did neither.
The next idea was a takeaway but l think the late night has caught up on us and we weren’t hungry, just tired and now at 10.30pm we have finally had a snack.

No crafting has been done by me today. I can’t remember the last time that happened but its ok, i’ll do some tomorrow.

What l have done though is this –

I finished this yesterday.
Its the big block to match the one l did previously in the week.
Still not perfect but l’m happy and my seams match up alot better.
Instead of 1.5″ squares and strips l sized it up to 3″. This was harder than l thought it would be, l did think it would be pretty simple but maybe my brain wasn’t working properly.
It does actually lay flat, can’t understand why it looks ruffled in the photo.
It measures at just under 18″ square.

I don’t know what to do with it now, l suspect it will become the front of a cushion. I’ve left it for now as it will be handy to have in case l need a personalised gift.

Now l’m going to knit a few rows on the heel of MrK’s sock, so l’ve actually done something – then bed.

Thank you for reading.
Take care.x

I’m loving the neutral colours. Very understated and sophisticated, whatever it will be! 🙂
