Thrifty knitting.

In a charity shop today I came across these 2 jumpers.
The brown onw is 100% lambswool and the green is 100% cashmere. They are at the moment with a friend who is busy unseaming them then I will use the ball winder to wind all the lovely wool up. Then they need skeining and washing and will be ready to be re-knitted into socks.

We did this last week with some gorgeous lambswool. I ended up with 2160yrds of beautiful mulberry coloured 2ply from 276g. Held doubled it is working up into lovely soft socks.

Ooh, nice colours. You must have better quality charity shops where you live than me. Finding anything with natural materials in is like looking for a needle in a haystack!
