I had decided today was going to be a play day and it certainly was.
I enjoyed every minute.
So what did l do?
I don’t know if you’ve seen the scrappy trip alongs that are going in in the quilting world but they all look really nice.
The tutorial for them can be found here -
http://quiltville.com/scrappytrips.shtml
Unfortunately l just don’t do scrappy.
Its way out of my comfort zone.
I work best with less fabrics and colours.
I started with this
This is what it looked like after l had finished all the steps
This is 3 of the blocks on my wall
I have another block finished and one in strip form waiting to be ironed, cut and sewn back together.
I cannot believe how easy this has been. It will be even easier now l have realised l don’t have to sew it into a tube, just fold and cut. It took 4 blocks for me to realise that ( duh! ).
I am looking forward to sewing some more tomorrow.
The safety eyes l ordered yesterday arrived this morning and they look ok. My puppies will soon have eyes and will hopefully be ready to list on etsy early next week.
If you see anything you like on the blog before they get listed on etsy let me know.
I can work out a lower price and invoice through paypal ( once i work how ) as there won’t be etsy fees to pay.
If you want a good book for the kindle, check out Half life of Hannah by Nick Alexander.
I started it last night and l’m 40% through now. Not surprisingly no knitting or housework has been done today.
We’re expecting snow this weekend, we haven’t really had much this week even though it was forecast.
Here’s Sox posing in the snow on the moors this morning.
Thanks for reading,
Take care.

What a wonderful day you had! I especially love the photo of Socks, what a cute dog!
